Coding Questions

As a service to the coding community, Brown Consulting answers CPT, HCPCS II, and ICD-9-CM coding questions. This service extends to questions for physician/clinician professional services provided in the office or other site of service, including FQHCs and RHCs. When applicable, replies will include citations from authoritative sources. We ask that you limit questions to three per calendar quarter per clinic or office. Please contact us if you wish to contract for more frequent, ongoing use of our research resources. Our goal is to respond to inquiries within 5-7 business days, but responses may take longer during peak client work periods.

Each question should identify the individual and clinic, including contact information, and provide as many details regarding the question as possible. We decline to reply to questions pertaining to legal or ethical issues; no facility or ASC coding questions, please.
